Alfred "A.J." Mour Obituary (2007)

Alfred Joseph “A.J.” Mour, 90, Lenexa, KS passed away Friday November 9, 2007. Graveside services 3:30pm Sunday November 11 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Youth Fund at Beth Shalom Synagogue. Mr. Mour worked for many years in private business but most notably worked as a finance officer for the City of Kansas City for over 15 years. He was an excellent athlete and enjoyed playing volleyball and primarily tennis. He was featured on a local television show which recognized athletes who were 75 years or older. Mr. Mour was a member of the National Rifle Association and loved classical music, violin and opera. He was a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue for over 60 years and sang in the choir there for 50 years. Mr. Mour is survived by his daughters and son-in-law: Bonnie and Samuel Rabicoff, Leawood, KS, Debbe Trachtman, Overland Park, KS; grandson: Isaac Rabicoff, a student at KU in Lawrence; two nieces and a nephew also survive as well as his former wife: Ida Mour.
